Still getting used to writing “2015” on my checks….
Latest projects: This year, I made what is possibly my first ever New Year’s resolution–GET ORGANIZED. To that end, I’ve been organizing the room that serves as my studio, (which had become a disaster), as well as getting my Etsy business in order and cleaning my house.
I’m also working on two new sets of crowns. Coming soon!
Not much, actually. I’m taking a break from lots of cooking this month…..
This month’s favorites:
Anything easy. 😀
The Secret of Pembrooke Park by Julie Klassen
Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskel
Lark Rise to Candleford by Flora Thompson
Watching and listening:
All Things Great and Small Series 1
Love Comes Softly and Love’s Enduring Promise
A&E Pride and Prejudice
Hogan’s Heroes Season 1
Classical radio station
Appalachian Journey — Yo-Yo Ma
I’m looking forward to:
Re-opening my Etsy shop.
Starting my new job (see below)…..
Shaun was away for most of the month, so I seized the opportunity to organize my studio and the house (in other words, turn everything completely topsy-turvy). I also took the opportunity to watch my idea of “chick-flicks” (literary adaptations/historical drama). 😀
I’ve been hired by the local library as their new cataloger! I’m very excited. I’ve been volunteering or working in libraries since I was fourteen, and just can’t stay away. 🙂
We have a renter for the other half of our duplex! Thank goodness–the rent money will hopefully go right back in to fixing up the house. We’re thinking of some new windows, more insulation, fixing the ice dam problem….
We received the first letter from our sponsored child, Prilly, who lives in Indonesia. It was a form letter, but I still loved it. Probably the best part was her drawing, which shows flowers and trees and tons of butterflies. Oh girly, you’re making me long for spring!
