Instead of mice, it’s one of their friends, the hedgehog!
A friend purchased some yarn from a vendor called “Hedgehog Yarn,” which prompted me to ask if, at the end of the ball of yarn, you find a hedgehog tangled up inside. Kind of like the prize at the bottom of the cereal box. This led to requests for drawings of a hedgie getting tangled up in her knitting project. Which led to this comic.
Happy knitting, friends!
For about a week after processing all of them, the smell of apples made me faintly ill….
It’s all fun and games until you’re buried in sticky apple peels.
EDIT: It’s a “slice”-of-life comic!
A friend was telling me that a mutual friend was likely “buried in her work,” and this instantly sprang to mind.
This might as well have been moles, as mice.
Also, credit goes to my daylight-deprived brother for the direct quote.
We’re more than half-way through 2016. Maybe my head will stop spinning by the time November does its fly-by.
It’s a little rough due to lack of Photoshop, and the fact that I had to put it up when given the chance, because June will be totally gone before we know it.
I’m thinking of changing my Etsy shop’s name. I’m fond of “Squirrel’s Spot,” but I named it that almost four years ago, and originally the items in my shop were a little more whimsical. But now that it’s mostly wedding/baptismal/beaded items, I’m thinking that another name might be more appropriate.
I’m also considering no longer selling Lab Mice greeting cards…either at all, or at least not in my Etsy shop. They haven’t sold very well. They also don’t really go with the crowns and fancy candles, but I’m not sure I want to have two different shops. Lab Mice cards might be best left for my own personal use.
So I have a lot to think about….
My Etsy shop, Squirrel’s Spot, will be closing temporarily starting January 5, 2015. I need to take some time to re-organize, re-stock, and take care of some necessarily business-related business. I’m not yet sure when Squirrel’s Spot on Etsy will re-open, but hopefully it will be sometime in mid- to late-February 2015. This blog will still be up and running as usual, and I still plan to keep posting Lab Mice comics.
See you on the other side, Etsy!
Lab Mice Christmas cards and tags are now available in my Etsy shop! If you are looking for a unique Christmas card that will make people smile, check out the “Lab Mice greeting cards” section in my shop.
“Not a Creature was Stirring” is my third original Lab Mice Christmas card design, and it is newly for sale this year!
I am going out of town this year for Christmas, so my shop will be closed December 19-28. The LAST DAY I will be SHIPPING before Christmas is DECEMBER 18! Don’t miss out!
